A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9 Much to our frequent surprise and occasional dismay, this verse aptly describes life. We study, plan, and choose a course of action, but the Lord alone knows the future and lays out our pathways. After much deliberation and research into every possible option, the Board of Trustees has decided to close the K5 through 8th grade classes because of insufficient enrollment. However, the Preschool classes remain open and flourishing for the 2008-2009 school year. We do not quite know what the long-term future holds for MCS. Our hope is that sufficient interest would develop in the coming years so that the elementary school could re-open with a growing enrollment. But regardless, we trust our school and ourselves to God’s able care. |
