MORRIS CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

Educating for Life and Eternity

Faculty

The work of God’s hand at Morris Christian School has been especially evident in calling teachers of exceptional skill and maturity to serve Him here. We are pleased to have a fully degreed professional faculty, including some who have completed a significant amount of post-graduate work.  All were experienced teachers before joining MCS.  In the pursuit of professional excellence, each teacher also is required to obtain and maintain certification with the Association of Christian Schools International.

We would stress that according to the Scriptures however, the greatest qualification for a teacher is not education or experience.  For Christian families, and for the MCS Board, the most important factor must be the teacher’s spiritual walk and their relationship with the Lord.

In the verse quoted above, Jesus himself taught that students become like their teachers.  Therefore the Board’s priority is to hire and place teachers who will model their Savior before their students at all times, who demonstrate a consistent and mature Christian faith, and who bring to the classroom an attitude that they are not simply performing a job, but are serving the Lord in a mission of eternal value.  Our faculty’s ultimate goal is that each student will learn to know God and then daily be encouraged to trust Him for both temporal and eternal needs.

We credit the loving and dedicated ministry of our teachers for the young souls and families that have been significantly changed by attendance at MCS.  We believe that this is the natural spiritual fruit of teachers and aides who live a committed, daily walk which honors our Lord.
